You're Already Growing the Future
If you're farming without animal inputs — no manure, no bone meal, no blood meal, no fish emulsion — then you're already most of the way to Biocyclic Vegan certification. You've been doing the hard part. Now let's make it official.
What You Get with Biocyclic Vegan Certification
- The Biocyclic Vegan Quality Seal — a globally recognized mark that tells consumers and buyers exactly what your farm stands for.
- Access to the International Biocyclic Vegan Network — connect with producers, buyers, and advocates around the world.
- Market differentiation — stand out in farmers' markets, wholesale, and direct-to-consumer sales with a Biocyclic Vegan certification that truly means something.
- Alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals — your farming practices, recognized on a global stage.
- A community of like-minded farmers — you're not alone in this. Join a growing movement of growers who believe the soil comes first.
Who Qualifies
Any farm already operating without animal inputs is eligible. This includes fruit and vegetable growers, grain and herb farmers, wine grape producers, and more. No livestock farming of any kind.
You must be able to document your animal-free practices — but if you're already growing this way, the paperwork reflects what you're already doing.
The Biocyclic Vegan Certification Process

Your farm must already operate without animal inputs — no exceptions.
Apply & Document
Submit your application with documentation of your farming practices.
BOI Assessment
Before your inspection, the Certification Coordinator conducts the Biocyclic Operation Index (BOI) assessment — a structured pre-audit that evaluates your farm’s strengths, identifies areas for preparation, and gives you a clear picture of where you stand before the inspector arrives.
Inspection
An independent soil auditor visits your farm to verify your operation meets the Biocyclic Vegan Standard. Because the BOI assessment was completed beforehand, you arrive prepared.
